I will be honest with you, Chisinau had never been in my bucket list. But I was fortunate enough to be given the chance to have a business trip there for a couple of days and I am not the type of person who misses an opportunity to discover a new place!

and the… glimpse of
Short… story short; Business trip it’s been so I had only few hours free. I did walk the city center and I strolled around a couple of parks but I am pretty sure that there were much more things to see and do.
What Chisinau lacks of beauty (city is a bit ugly; relics of the soviet era with plenty of abandoned or not well-preserved buildings) counterbalanced with parks like “Rose Valley”, “Stephen the Great” and “Valea Morilor” can make someone forget that sadness created by the kinda relics.
People, are really nice, friendly and willing to help even if they cannot speak english.
Last but not least, the food; admittedly, everything I tried was really delicious and to be honest I truly enjoyed the “placinte”, typical pies with a fill of everything you wish for.
All in all, I am happy I had this kind of opportunity and I wish to come back again to see more… but above all, to tour around the vast wineries of Cricova and Purcari (click them and you will get the point!).
