Being the kind of person who always enjoys traveling, I’ve been fortunate enough in my life to have been “forced” to travel to Prague for business purposes at least 20 times till now.

Rainy

I’ve seen sunny Prague with around 35ᴼC, I’ve seen the rain, I’ve experienced snowy and frozen Prague in about -20ᴼC, I’ve been there in the spring, but I must admit there has not been even once that I did not enjoy it!

There are many versions as to what the name “Prague” means, but my favorite is one that a local old lady once told me: an old legend has it that a prophetess indicated that a city would be built which would be so beautiful that all people would kneel in view of her beauty. And this is pretty much true.

In my eyes, Prague somehow resembles a fairy tale city: the architecture of the old city, the walks by Vltava, the sunrise at the Astronomical Clock and the sunset at Charles’ Bridge, the innumerous brides that you can see walking through the old town taking their wedding pictures… so many things that you don’t expect to see in a city as large as the Czech capital.

Talking from experience, if one asks me what the best time to visit Prague is, I would say that early to mid-December would be the first option, when everything is lit in Christmas decorations and festive mood, but still not as overcrowded as during the Christmas holiday’s period. Another good option would be in the spring, when the temperature is ideal for endless hours of wandering in the streets, as summers sometimes tend to be too warm and humid.

I will not write anything more at this point, as I could keep doing so for hours. I just hope you visit Prague and enjoy it as much as I always do!
