Living in a foreign country for more than a month, makes you something like a tourist-resident; you can follow the daily pace,  meet a wide variety of people and feel the vibe.  Well, all of my time there, rather than leisure was it but I could say that I had taste enough of Warsaw and a bit of Krakow.

Warsaw

I have to admit that my expectations were of a capital with eastern block architecture, industrialised and filthy. To my surprise, proved to be radically otherwise. Green scenery everywhere and Polish people delve into a green way of living; cycling and skating most of them even in suits and ties.

There are huge parks worth visiting like “Łazienki Królewskie” and “Pole Mokotowskie” to get the aformentioned mindset.

Go around, also, to the alleys of the Old Town and don’t forget to visit the Royal Castle and its gorgeous gardens. Noteworthy, almost everything you will see is rebuilt after WWII. Nevertheless, walk all along the Vistula Riverside and the Krakowskie Przedmiescie.

Few dining options Restauracja Podwale 5 “Pięć Po” and Restauracja Barbakan in Old Town. “Pub Lolek” and “Jeff’s” in Pole Mokotowkie.

Krakow

On a day off, a friend of mine prompt me to take a train ride and visit Krakow.

Few hours on our disposal but since my colleague was familiar with the surroundings were enough to tour around old town.

Every each corner had something to attract your attention!
